Audrianna Cole Stepped Out With Fashion Royalty

New York, NY (PRWEB) September 15, 2011

Coles brush with fashion royalty came during this years Fashions Night Out celebration Sept. 8 in New York City. Cole staged an exclusive performance at Bergdorf Goodman and also chose the date for her first limited edition single release, Aint Gonna Letcha. Copies of the single were given out to customers at the store during Fashions Night Out festivities.

During the celebration, Cole met Jim Gold, President/CEO of Bergdorf Goodman and The Neiman Marcus Group; and Faith Hill, country music icon; among others.

Hill, in fact, took home an autographed copy of Coles new CD and posed for a picture as the disk was signed. Fans who werent as fortunate as Faith Hill can receive a FREE download of the single Aint Gonna Letcha for a limited time on Coles website at http://www.audriannacole.com.

In the spirit of the fashionable celebration, Cole had her hair done for the performance at the world-famous John Barrett Salon, arrived at Bergdorf Goodman wearing Lauren Conrad’s Paper Crown-Degas Tunic in Gunmetal, and for her performance, she dazzled wearing Theyskens’ black dress and pump platforms.

It was only fitting that Cole chose Bergdorf Goodman as the site for her release. After all, the upscale stores windows featured her song Follow Me during the 2010 holiday season.

Cole was honored to take part in this years Fashions Night Out. After the performance, Cole said “I was blown away to find out that Faith Hill and Jim Gold were amongst my fans.”

That party is one of the most anticipated fashion events of the year. Fashions Night Out is a multi-store celebration that encourages people to get out and explore the newest collections of some of the worlds top designers. It featured celebrity appearances, visits by designers themselves and plenty of live music, including Coles performance.

The annual event began in 2009 as a way to not only kick off New York Fashion Week, but also to encourage consumers to get out and shop to bolster the struggling economy. It has since grown into an international event with mirror Fashions Night Outs staged all over the world.

Up next for Cole is a national tour of schools to promote a new anti-bullying campaign for The Shinin Bright Foundation. The tour starts in Florida and will make its way across the country this fall. It is being staged to shed the light on this problem that affects children throughout America and beyond.

Ties-Necktie.com Launches the Internets Most Thorough Encyclopedia of Mens Fashion

San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) October 22, 2011

Ties-Necktie.com, the popular online retailer that offers men over 2,000 quality neckties, today announced the launch of its Encyclopedia of Mens Fashion, an A-Z guide of everything men need to know about style. Defining everything from fabrics and textiles to accessories to weaving techniques, the Encyclopedia of Fashion is designed to educate the fashion-illiterate man.

A man need only consult the Encyclopedia of Fashion to find out that an ascot is a type of formal neckwear for men that originated in Britain during the late 19th century. Bespoke is a garment that was custom made for a specific client. A cummerbund is a black tie accessory worn around the waist. A dimple refers to the crevice at the top of the necktie knot. And felt is a type of cloth created by pressing fibers together.

The Encyclopedia of Fashion also includes entries for fashion designers from around the world, explaining a labels history, specialty and trademark prints and patterns. It is chock-full of interesting trivia for the beginner fashionista. Readers learn that Giorgio Armani was born in Piacenza, Italy and started his label in 1974; the Lacoste fashion house was founded by French tennis star Rene Lacoste in 1933; British fashion designer Paul Smith has no formal training in design; Karl Lagerfelds middle name is Otto; Hermes was initially a workshop specializing in harnesses for carriages; and Japanese designer Takada Kenzo started his label without any financial support from his family.

An excellent reference tool for region-specific fashion trends, the Encyclopedia of Fashion chronicles the use of clothing and accessories in different cultures. For instance, an Academic Scarf is a woolen scarf worn to display school pride in the British school system. The Guernsey Sweater, worn by Scottish fishermen, was created on the English Channel island of Guernsey some time in the mid to late 15th century. The Jutti is a traditional style of shoe first created in the Northwest Indian state of Punjab. Lederhosen were originally primarily worn by Bavaria, Germanys outdoor laborers and eventually fell out of fashion by being associated with the working class. The Nehru jacket, which became popular in India in the 1940s, came into vogue in western countries when The Beatles started wearing them.

Ties-Necktie.com’s founder Hendrik Pohl says that “It is our goal to be more than the world’s largest tie retailer. That’s why offer detailed shirt and tie matching tips, teach men how to tie a tie, and we also hire fashion experts to educate our customers and readers on the latest trends on our Mens Fashon Blog.” The Fashion Encyclopedia is Ties-Necktie’s latest addition and Pohl plans on opening up the Encyclopedia to allow readers to comment, share, and even to contribute.

Document Management Company, MES Hybrid Document Systems Inc., Archives more than a Century of Documents for Ruthven Park National Historic Site

Ontario, Canada (PRWEB) February 16, 2012

Document management company, MES Hybrid Document Systems, Inc., announces completion of a successful digitizing project for Ruthven Park National Historic Site, a property of national significance designated by the Historic Sites and Monuments Board of Canada.

Ruthven Park is located in southern Ontario in Haldimand County. The 1,500 acre property was formerly the country estate and working farm for five generations of the Thompson family. The Thompsons settled in the area in the 1830s and owned the property until 1993. Today, this unique site is open to the public for guided tours through an 1845 Greek Revival mansion, special events, education programs, walks on the trails, picnics and bird watching. A bird banding station is operated on the site by volunteers. Filming opportunities, photography and rentals for weddings and other private functions are also available.

Ruthven Park enlisted MES Hybrid to evaluate available digitizing and archiving options to make this one-of-a kind-collection available for the public, researchers and school through the website and onsite visits. The project involved archiving more than a century’s worth of historic letters, ledgers, journals, war memorabilia and photographs. Given the collections age and fragile nature, the work had to be managed with extreme care.

The MES Hybrid solution consisted of microfilming, scanning, indexing and implementing a FileDirector document management system. To address disaster recovery, Ruthven Park stores the microfilm in a secure facility separate from the digital and paper collections.

This project allowed Ruthven Park to provide digital copies of historical records that have never been seen before by the general public, said Kevin DArcy, vice president of sales and marketing at MES Hybrid Document Systems, Inc. Our solution helped Ruthven Park make huge progress in bringing their history into the future and preserving it for years to come.

About Ruthven Park National Historic Site

Ruthven Park National Historic Site, owned by the Lower Grand River Land Trust Inc, a non-government, not-for-profit organization, is located in southern Ontario in Haldimand County, approximately 4 km north of the town of Cayuga. Their mission is to preserve the natural and cultural heritage for future generations. The 1,500 acre property includes an 1840s Greek revival mansion filled with original family furnishings and possessions. Archives chronicle each of the five generations of the Thompson family, the sites original owners for five generations. Other nineteenth century outbuildings also remain. In its entirety, Ruthven Park is a symbol of the industrial, commercial and agricultural development of Upper Canada during the mid-nineteenth century. The Thompson family settled in the area in the 1830s and owned the property until 1993. For more information, visit http://www.ruthvenpark.ca/.
